Would it be too late

Btw, I got only a 90 (26-22-20-22) on the TOEFL and only a 1310 (M740-CR560)/1600 on the SAT. Should I be fine?

Damn my TOEFL :(

There's another question I actually have , I'm sending my application by paper and I'm gonna pay the fees online but I noticed that there's no clue for the universities that I paid , I mean in the common app they just ask for the payment mode with no code or number , so how are thing working ?

Nguyen, pretty much. TOEFL is English proficiency more of in everyday life - it is hard to prepare for TOEFL because it is literally English LANGUAGE test. You need to live in the environment or simulate it very realistically to score, say, 110 or 115. Really hard to prepare. But on the other hand, if you were to spend like 2-3 months in the U.S. - you would be fine with TOEFL, because you would talk, listen, and think in English. So if you have the minimum - it is enough for college, and they know that your speaking, listening, e.t.c. will improve while you are there, AND that you have the minimum that you need, so you will do ok in classes even when you are just arrived. Now Critical Reading is more of logical understanding of English language, and doesn't just come with time all that easily, that's what you need to practice for (read books, e.t.c.). And colleges are less likely to admit you with the lower score on that one, because you will be improving your critical reading skills at the expense of the classes.

There are some universities that accept TOEFL score as a main one in admission, but usually they are not American colleges, or lesser known American colleges (sometimes American University in PutCountry'sNameHere). So it would be beneficial for you to have a score of 100, but if you are past the minimum, you should focus on CR. And I don't know if will be fine or not, because I don't know where you are applying to :)

Amine, in commonapp you should select the payment way, and follow the instructions. So if, say, you paid with a credit card - it will take you through the process, and after that it will say that you payed for it, date, amount, and the code (I think).

Thant You "Alone" for your answer it helped me a lot , but for Dartmouth for example I can't pay until I submit my application, the problem is that I'm sending my application on paper by mail ...

hmmm... i guess u'l have to mail admissions about it... maybe they'l send u an online username and password tat can be used to pay ur fees... the best thing would be to mail them about it

Then you have got to pay through their website

@alone
is ter a provision for it? i searched today... couldnt see nethin..

Okay thank's , there's one last thing ; I completed all the stuffs and supplement , and when I wanted to submit the appplications they said "CEEB/ACT Code Required" but I'm an International student and my school doesn't have one !!!!!!

jus enter 0000... thats wat it says...

I can't just enter 0000 , because to fill the case i have to choose from a list , ( they say : look up) and i just can't enter any number :s

sorry "neethu16" you're right, I found it , thx a lot

thats good.. good luck with your applications

Please , on the Internation Supplement page 2 , there's the "Senior Secondary Leaving Examinations" table that my counselors should fill , but he dunno what to put , what is this table about ?

Yeah, Amine, I think you need to enter 000000 (6 zeros if I don't mistake, not sure). If it doesn't work like that, go to search school, try to search for yours in the search window (specify country etc.). When it is not found -- in the left bottom corner of the window you will see 'not found'. Click it, it will put 6 zeros in.

Neethu, provision for what exactly?

And if you do not have any examinations at the end of the school, he doesn't need to put anything in. If you do - he has to list them and the marks you got.

@alone
Provision for paying online thro the site.... but maybe u need to log into common app to pay...

uhm...together with sending translated official score reports!

I think I saw it somewhere. I mean, if you send it by paper, you probably have to be registered on the website, where you can pay for the paper app. Or just mail the check?
