hey, im austria, thus my native language is german. if i take the sat IIs in latin, world history and german, do you think it would look bad that the third is my native language. i mean, i don´t need to take the third, but i heard that it is better to have three than two. plus, i try to get high scores on all the tests because my gpa is kind of low (i don´t know the exact, because we have a VERY different grading system, but it would only be around 3 i think... i never had to try very hard in school, in austria there is no admission process at university, you just sign up ^^)
ok, back to the sat IIs: i thought since german would be a safe 800 it would be nice to look at... not that i won´t try hard on the other two tests, but esp in world history, it is kind of hard to know what to expect, i mean, i have NO idea what topics are covered in a high school world history class.
thank you for any help, it is REALLY appreciated

Since only two are required at Princeton, I think it would be fine to use German with the expected 800, as your third SAT II.

Have you considered taking a science or math SAT II to balance the languages and world history? It might show more breadth of knowledge than 2 language tests. (Assuming you could score highly.)

yh i did but i think it is too risky because i really dont have any clue of what is taught in those subjects in us, plus i am completely on the humanities side… i don´t know what ill be majoring in, but it is definitely going to be something related to social studies… ill stick with my hopeful 700 in the quantitive section of the SAT…

Ask Princeton. Harvard, for example, doesn’t allow it.

that is actually not a bad idea ^^ thanks

around 3, or a 3.0 gpa?
