Would love UCB but would be happy with......

It would be great if I could get into UCB, do I stand any chance whatsoever?

If not, I would be perfectly happy with:-
UCD
UCSB
Calpoly

3.99 unweighted gpa

1980 SAT1

ACT composite 30 with 11 for writing.

First genera

OOPS, HIT RETURN TOO QUICKLY.

1st generation college student

Black belt tae kwon do
Habitat for humanity
Sunday school teacher

Not great EC's but family insisted I had a life rather than a resume.

Race? Income?

white (european, 1st gen), not low income.

"Not great EC's but family insisted I had a life rather than a resume."

No need to rationalize. If you didn't, you didn't. Come on. Maybe you should have had a lower UW GPA to better show that your family insisted you had a life rather than a resume.

I'm just a good student but not outstanding, at the highly competitive high school I go to. I love sports, but due to injury I had to stop. My parents being new to this country didn't realize they has to put me in every club going just to put on my resume.

Can anyone rank me at least?

ok, I take it that I don't have a shot at UCB because of my crappy EC's

why you so nervous homey

^ LOL at the post above

I'd say you've got a good shot. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think UCs pay that much attention to ECs. Best of luck.

nervous09:

Assuming you are a California resident,
UCB: Slight Reach
UCD/UCSB: Safe Match
