I'm a hopeful sophomore transfer to NYU because I was rejected when I applied as a freshman. In high school I was in the top 18% of my class, I was 44/244. My GPA was a 3.6. I think what kept me out was that I was overall an average student and I applied as an undeclared major. Now, I know what I want to study and I want to go to Gallatin. One thing I know, however, is that I need to bring my SAT score up. If I maintain really good grades in college, and get a better SAT score, will my HS GPA and class rank still keep me out?

I’d really like an answer to this one, I don’t want to waste money on the application if I don’t really have a chance!
