I got a C in general chem and calc, with anthropology, social psych, and philosophy/ anatomy and physiology 1+2 and research methods. Would it be a good option to retake the electives " anthropology, social psych and philosophy" to make it look good that I got an A on the second try or should I leaveit? As for the general calc and chem sequence, would it be good to retake it for a B or A? Im already planning on retaking anatomy and physiology 1+2 / research methods. Any input would be appreciated!
Based on your post history you haven’t done well in your classes and owe a lot of money. I highly recommend you take a break from college to reassess your goals. It maybe best to withdraw from this school so that you don’t incur further costs.
Please follow the advice you have received in previous posts. Do not proceed further without looking at other career options that are more suitable to your skills. Possibly transfer to a college close to home that will be cheaper or consider community college.
At this point retaking those classes isn’t really going to help you. You should be thinking about how can you get a four year degree not thinking about graduate programs. http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/2058864-what-ways-are-there-to-pay-back-my-parents-for-college-tuition.html#latest
I am not sure if you can retake a C.
I would spend more time on figuring out why I am getting C’s and also if grad school makes sense for you.
How can you afford to retake classes?
I agree with @raclut your goal should be to graduate.
Here are some ideas on how to change how you approach college:

I think you guys are undermining a person’s potential because sincerely I think I’ll do way better. I know why I’m getting C’s, and I don’t think it’s a waste of money if I retake them and one more thing, my school is pretty cheap Incase you didn’t know. Besides I don’t think I’m actually planning to go to grad school to waste money on something I don’t wanna do as it won’t even help- so I hope you know that it makes pretty sense to me
Nobody is trying to undermine you. But saying, “Sincerely I think I’ll do way better” isn’t something you can take to the bank. If you don’t want people’s advice, don’t post a thread with a question.
I think the best thing would be to be open and honest with your parents and tell them how you have performed.
“Mom and Dad I got C’s, D’s, and F’s my first two years of college and need to repeat classes. I may need a 5th year to graduate. It is going to cost this much money. I know I have already borrowed $65,000 from you that I need to pay back. At this point my chances of getting into professional/grad school are very slim. I need to focus on how to get my bachelor’s degree without getting into more debt and getting a job so that I can pay you back.”
As a parent I would have stopped paying for college after the first semester and would have a student not performing well. transfer to a community college. You and only you are accountable for your actions.
Consider yourself very lucky to have parents that continued to pay for the last three years despite the fact that you performed poorly. What you call “cheap or inexpensive” would not have been affordable to me as a parent and I find your remark quite ignorant. When you have to work hard to earn that money to pay that back only then you will realize how difficult it is to save that amount. There are lots of students that don’t have their parents support to pay for college and take out outside loans or they work hard to earn scholarships so that they can attend college. Many attend community college their first two years and then transfer to a four year college to incur the least amount of debt possible.
I hope you are able to come up with a solution with your parents as they are the ones who will have to incur more costs for your education. You have been given lots of great advice in your threads. Best of luck.
You’ve already said you owe your parents ~$65,000 for the year or two you’ve been in college. You’re looking at something like ~$200k by the time you finish the 5th year you mentioned in the other thread.
If you’re so certain you can get straight A’s, go take the classes at a cc and earn them. It will cost you a lot less and you can retake all the classes you want. Four year colleges allow limited retakes. My son’s college allows only 4 over four years. It looks like your list of possible retakes is 8 or 9 courses long. I don’t think you’ll be allowed to retake so many, and I don’t think you’ll qualify for full-time aid if you do.
And one more thing, I don’t think you know where I attend
Good luck.
Parents, I do appreciate the rather “ insightful” yet “
blunt and rude” comments, but it sounds like I definitely know what to do now. Maybe if we understood each other better, this conversation would have made more sense from your side
