Would this be a hook?

I made a post about this in another thread, but it was in the midst of another conversation so I didn't get too much feedback.

I've owned and operated my own web development company for 4 years. I've had about 15 clients in total, ranging from small to medium businesses. I also run a web development tutorial blog, where I publish tutorials as frequently as possible. It gets about 10,000 unique viewers/month.

I'm just wondering, would this be considered a hook? Or do you think they would have a few other applicants who run a web development company?

By the way, here are links to my websites:

it’s very unique. you should be proud.

Thanks! I wrote my essay on this too, so hopefully it’ll be good enough.

It’s not a hook in the true definition of the word. A hook is defined as something the college needs - donors, athletes, URMs

However, it is a unique EC that will help your application tremendously.

And you think the college might not need IT people for free???^^
