Would this be considered improvement?

I know this might sound like a stupid question... but please bear with me.

Sophomore year GPA - 3.8 // 3.0
Junior year GPA 3.17 // 3.8

WEIGHTED

I've heard that a drop in Junior year grades is TERRIBLE to the adcomms and an improvement in the Junior year is really good... would my situation be just that? Because technically... i dropped in Sophomore year and improved in Junior year...

God... how am I gonna explain that HUGE drop in the middle. Would the Adcomms notice it and think theres something wrong? Would I be "hit in the face" because of such a HUGE difference.?

BTW, I am dying to get into UC Davis and I have no ELC (I've read somewhere that UCD puts a HUGE emphasis on ELC) and this situation.

anyone...?

Don't worry, some people I know had 3.0s that got accepted to Davis and there SATs were above average nationally, so it isn't too hard.

What are you rr SAT/ACT scores along with SAT IIs? Also calculate your UC GPA, for Soph. and Junior Year.

Sat 1 - 1760

Sat Ii Lit - 590
Us History - 610

and those are my UC GPAs posted.

its pretty good

But is it considered an improvement from my sophomore year?

Anyone????

UCD is going to be a reach. What they will see is inconcistency. More importantly, your GPA, is low for the school and your SAT is below averge. You should apply, but also apply to I, SC, R and Merced.
