Would this be overkill?

I've been procrastinating on the longer CMC supplement question ( :O ), which asks about a person, fictional or nonfictional, who has shaped culture and thought. Already, my Common App essay is on being a Disney fan and how this has shaped my personality, my life, etc. etc.

SO... Would it be an overload of Disney to do my CMC essay on Walt Disney, or even Mickey Mouse? I'm struggling to think of someone who I can write about!

Honestly, I think it might be. It’s OK to have one essay on being a Disney fan, but more than that it may look like you don’t have much else you’re interested in…there’s a book about influential fictional characters. I haven’t read it but if you have time it could give you some ideas: [Amazon.com: The 101 Most Influential People Who Never Lived: How Characters of Fiction, Myth, Legends, Television, and Movies Have Shaped Our Society, Changed Our Behavior, and Set the Course of History: Books: Dan Karlan,Allan Lazar,Jeremy Salter](http://www.amazon.com/Most-Influential-People-Never-Lived/dp/0061132217)

Or for real people look at Time’s list of the most influential/important people of the century. My internet is really slow so I’m not going to try to find the link, but you should be able to easily search for it.

here you go: [The People Who Shape Our World - The TIME 100 - TIME](TIME 100: The Most Influential People in the World in 2014)

i dont think it would be overkill as long as you showed a different side of yourself in the CMC essay. Obvioulsly you dont want to send the same idea twice.
