Hi, i'm ajunior
and i would like to write a research paper
of a topic that i'm really interested in.
If i get a chance, i would need to find
a publisher that would publish my paper.
(maybe in a magazine or newspaper, if possible)
Would this help on my college app?
(by the way, i'm going to write about Religion vs. God,
the topic that was once debated intensely by
Richard Dawkins (Oxford professer) and
Francis Collins (pioneer of genome project).

As long as you include this thread with your research paper, colleges will love you. They really like to see students more concerned with benefitting their application than the actual research.

hmm..anymore comments?

It should help but where would you get it published?

don't most people write research papers in classes before college? getting published could help I guess. I don't know where you'd do it though.

i agree with thepilotfailed lol =P

thepilotfailed...I hope you're being sarcastic...that seems like something I'd really, really HATE to see on a college app. Just caring about the application rather than the actual research? REJECTED.

Oh shoot,
i madea a typo,
its "Science vs God", haha stupid mistake i made;

So it would help, if i find a publisher which would
publish my paper?

^That's the /point/, arkle.

Look, of course doing published work is going to help your college app, because it SUPPOSEDLY shows a passion for learning and a particular subject, and an initiative to pursue knowledge outside of school. Of course in your case this supposition would be completely false.

Do what you will.

I don't know if they'll be able to smell a fake from your resume, but somewhere down the line in life you'll wonder what it's all about and why you wasted some much time hunting for praise and prestige.

Science vs. God...passe? shrug Who wants to place bets on whether this hack can get published or not ;)?
