Well, I have the decision to make. I have been accepted to electrical engineering to both. Any suggestions?

Don't know much about UTAustin, but USNews (2006 best graduate schools) ranks Ann arbor 6th for engineering in general, and UTAustin 12th. According to one of Alexandre's posts, Ann arbor is ranked #5 for electrical engineering at the undergrad level, I don't know about UTAustin

I know about all those rankings and to tell you the truth I don't really care about those, because I would not base my decision on usnews and a 5 spot difference between the two schools is pretty negligable anyways. What I want to know about is people's firsthand experience with the schools through visits or the sort, or knowledge of professor quality, acadamic quality, etc...

Also I'm concerned about the undergrad schools not the grad schools, but thank you for your input.

Squirrel888, is money an issue? My daughter goes to Michigan and is having a great experience; however, it is very expensive compared to Austin. I have heard good things about Texas, but you know more than I do about the town and the school.

Money is an issue.
