I would rather attend Johns Hopkins.
Im not a science major but the school has impressed me with the research opportunities for those outside of the sciences. Brown seems to be falling.

Perhaps CPA will lend a nonpartisan opinion.

Personally, I want to enter biochem/biophysics, so JHU is probably where I should end up.

Though, I’d love to take my chances at Brown’s PLME program.

I didn’t apply to either of them but if I had, I would choose Brown.

It’s in New England. I really love the Northeast. Mid-Atlantic is alright, but I prefer to be around New York City, Philadelphia, etc.

It’s a very liberal school. I’m quite left-winged, so I will feel more comfortable there.

I’m going to going to major in Bio or anything near that so I would not be going after what JHU is most known for. Although Brown is also known for its Bio programs, its other programs seem to be more focused than those of JHU.

Someone’s going to say this so I’ll just say it now: it’s an Ivy.

Definitely Brown.

It’s in the Northeast, where people are liberal-minded, which is a big thing for me.

and also because of their partnership with the Rhode Island School of Design.

It’s an Ivy.

Too late to the party?

Ivy or not, Hopkins is more prestigious internationally than Brown.

In certain areas.

Brown because I’m not majoring in anything science-related and the recruitment by IB firms is pretty good…

I’ve never come across this one (JH vs Brown) but for me personally I like Brown better.

Johns Hopkins. I’ve wanted to go there since 3rd grade ever since I’ve watched a movie about it. Haha. It’s not so much about prestige at this point than it is to fulfill that wish to go there. They had the first blue baby operation at JHU. Uhhh. Yeah.

Brown.
I don’t want to be pre-med.
I live in DC, so it’s kinda close.
Baltimore sucks.
Too much grad focus at Hopkins.
Too many people live off campus for me at Hopkins.
So on…

Johns Hopkins. Brown is so liberally it’s annoying

Brown.
Baltimore. no.

Brown, simply because it’s an Ivy and because it’s liberal and close to my home.

Brown. Better location, happier students, it’s an ivy. Plus, Emma Watson ;)

^
OMG how could I have forgotten?!?
That should be every persons #1 reason! lolz

JHU, I think they have a better creative writing program than Brown.

Brown, JHU is too cut-throat and just irritates me. I actually visited and disliked it immensely. I’m really liberal too, and Baltimore is a huge fail. Also Emma Watson.

Brown is stronger in the humanities than JHU, but JHU seems to be better at the hard sciences. As a prospective humanities major myself, I feel that Brown aligns more closely with those sorts of fields, and I am confident that at Brown I shall be able to pursue all of the courses I desire to take, whereas JHU seems to have much stricter course requirements.
