I'm thinking of going there. Any suggestions?

A professor I respect greatly earned a degree in anthropology there.

Interesting :)

Depends on what your other options are and what you want to major in, but in general I would say it’s a decent school. :)

It’s a very good public school. Nice campus, pretty little village, lot of snow. The academics tilt towards the humanities, but they opened a new science center recently. There’s a pretty big liberal arts core curriculum, if that bothers you.

Very good school & great value if you are in state! Students from our school ( we typically send 2-3 per year) have loved it, never had a student transfer out. Admissions is pretty difficult for a SUNY. They have a “1200” filter on SAT scores for unhooked students. This year we had an outstanding athlete who was vigorously recruited there. She was 6/ 160 in class but still was told she had to get an 1180 for him to get her in on “special talent”.

And how is the science department there? I want to go to medical school in the future, would Geneseo be helpful with that?

Anybody have any other suggestions? :)

vs what school?

If you’re interested in science and looking at SUNY’s, Stony Brook seems to have the best reputation.

morrismm: compared to none, I just want to see how good it is as a school
hornetdad: alright thanks :)
