Would you retake a.....

2240? I have a 780 M 760 CR, but only a 700 W. If I do take it again it will be the third time so far, but I don't know if it's worth it just to pull up my writing score a bit. I know a lot of colleges put emphasis on the M and CR sections, but idk if my low writing score will hurt me a lot. Thoughts?

Not worth it- I don’t know how much schools really care about the writing score. Pursue other ways to enhance your candidacy- your overall score puts you in the middle 50% range of many competitive schools. Now you need to present yourself as more than a test score.

I second that.

Don’t retake it. It’s not worth it…a 2240 is already like the 96/97%.
Spend your time doing other college-y stuff.

A 2200+ is in the 99th percentile, although it may not seem like it on this forum. It can get you into most competitive colleges without trouble but if you think you can do better the next time around then go for it.

Edit: That percentile stat was in 2006, might’ve changed a little.
