would you retake the SATs with an 800M 780V and 660W?

you took the test twice and your highest composite score was
800M 780V and 660W

would you take it again?

I would take a practice ACT to see if my ACT score is better than my SAT score.

If I would ever decided to retake the SAT, I would work on my writing, if I were in your situation, and retake the SAT.

However, a 2100 should be good enough for 1 of the ivy leage schools.

Retaking the test depends on your grade because Senior year is a pretty busy year.

the comp score is a 2240

If that was on your first try, that’s incredibly impressive. Even if not, those are still outstanding scores. That said, if you’re aiming for HPYS and haven’t take them two or three times yet, I’d take them one more time to get writing up to at least 700 (after three tries, I ended up being the opposite, where writing was 800, math and CR were 710 and 700 :-)

I would retake… focus on your writing to improve your superscore

Just make sure your math and cr scores don’t plummet to much (as long as they are still 700+, preferably 750+) you’ll be fine

idk at this point i don’t really care enough to retake. i think my essays will counteract my poor writing score on the SAT I. i’m just seeing what you guys would have done/would do in my situation. thanks

oh, and my score was 20pts higher than what i posted (10+ on each section). so its a 1590/2260

don’t retake it. spend time developing your personality, hobbies, and school-related activities. with a score like that, being deficient in one of those three areas is what will ultimately keep you out of top schools.

P.S.
Take the ACT though.

i actually consider my scores to be the weak part of my app. my hobbies/ECs/essays are the strong points, i feel.

yeah i was signed up for the ACT in december but i just didn’t show up to take it. i had another commitment that i thought was more important than potentially receiving a higher grade than a 2260 out of 36. i’m personally satisfied with the 2260, since the first time i took the test i had a 2060

Also, many colleges still don’t even consider the writing section. Don’t retake it.

if i were you, i’d retake cause 750+ in W isnt hard to get with some studying, and then you’d be comfortably over 2300

oh ok, my bad. i didn’t know you are a senior… still though i’d probably never retake that SAT.
