i think so. i'm so jealous of them, especially if they do apply to harvard or something. they have the best ec hook evar: platinum debut albums and top 10 billboard singles

yes. no doubt.

would they actually take advantage of their hook and apply to harvard?

probably not

Well I actually don't know if they could get in with out a contribution... they would still have to complete the application wouldn't they? and take the SATs... I wonder what JoJo's SAT score would be?

Um...maybe jojo and possibly chris brown...definitely not jibbs though, "do you chain hang low", I don't think he'd get above 200 on the SAT verbal, and you get 200 for writing your name...

lol. ^^.......

No, I doubt it. The negative media attention surrounding their acceptance would be damaging to the institutions. Rejecting them, however, would positively reflect the colleges.

Yeah but a large contribution would postively affect the colleges...
We all know ivys like their money.

Unless they also have decent grades, scores, and proven intellectual curiosity, no, they would not get into schools like Harvard, which graduates about 97% of its students, and accepts only students who have track records indicating that they could graduate from a place like Harvard.

Check out people like Jodie Foster who graduated from Yale. She's a very smsart person. While she was a child star when she was accepted to Yale, she also was clearly a very bright and intellectual person with the smarts and work ethic to be able to thrive at a place like Yale and graduate from it, too.

Places like Ivies aren't so hard up for money that they'd accept a celebrity only for the $ that the celebrity would bring. Indeed, accepting celebrities for that reason would cause places like Ivies to lose money from wealthy alums who are impresed by their colleges' academic reputation, not by celebrity entertainers.

well, Julia Stiles got into Columbia for her acting.

the Olson twins got into NYU, but what woulda happened if they applied to Harvard or Yale? who knows

Bill Frist's son got into Princeton - no wait, Princeton allowed him to apply a month after the RD deadline and Duke sent officers to Speilberg's house to encourage her daughter to apply.
The Ivies and top schools do love their prestige!
