Wow how bad does this look on a transcript?

NO!!!! End of teh wurl!

Well actually op may have a valid point. In terms of class rank if this is gonna kill, then it actaully might hurt you. It might not be the number itself, but your rank that might hurt.
For eg. If i was to get 1 b (with 7 aps in soph + junior year), i would fall from rank 4 to around 10. Now if was to keep adding a few B's here and there, like your A-'s might be adding up, i might be just barely in the top 10%.
But chances are some A- are not gonna kill you since prolly many kids in your school are gonna get A-'s, i mean its still an A right lol.

Bottom line is, nobody cares. Let's stop ragging on the guy already.

Alex

Is it really true that colleges drop the -/+ in calculating?
That'd be kinda nice.

I had a panic attack today in math when our final grades were posted and I saw that I got a 76 (bleh), which brought my average down to a 92.6 which is a A-. But then our math teacher said that an A- and A+ will appear as an A on our transcript. I actually almost cried of joy. I am that much of a loser.

troll troll troll
your life is over. now you'll be labeled as an A- student

Seriously.

The only way this is a problem is if your school has major grade inflation issues, or if your school has an extremely generous grading scale. If 90% of your class has a 4.0, then you should be worried as a sophomore.

my school doesn't have +/-. If you have an 80%, you have a B. If you have an 89% you still have a B. I like it like that.

omg more of this again.....

op, your fine. if your few A-'s are bad, then the B+ i got last semester is a death sentence. Are you stretching yourself thin with too many ec's, or is the work too hard? Identify the problem, try to fix it, if your grades don't rise, then just do what i do and say "screw it".

^winner! I do the same

...really?

But anyway no, you're fine, just relax.

i hope you get rejected from all of your colleges because you dont have enough common sense to realize that an A- is not bad. you may have book smarts, but if this thread isnt a joke, then you are completely clueless about life.

ZOMG AUTOREJECT!!111oneone

wolf hit the nail on the head, btw..

you may want to consider making EC's a more significant part of your life.

Well, A-'s eh? Yeah, you are doomed to work at McDonald's. Maybe subway if fate is nice to you.

I can't stand when losers make posts like this. Get a life and quit worrying.

I should smack you in the face for this post.

my parents are flipping out on me because I have 4 A-'s as opposed to A's. -_-

your parents are nazis

yeah, how exactly do you close threads?
i kind of got the point after the first five people told me not to worry, i dont need like 30 of you to repeat the same thing. for god's sake...

and yes, i do have EC's, pretty good ones too, imo. its just that my grades worry my parents the most, so cut me a little slack for being a little worried. what the **** does it have to take for me to get worried here without all of you getting on my back? a D?

^ you cant close threads. you have to live with this thread for the rest of your life.
