Wow I like Brandeis! Chances?

similar in what sense?

ajayc,

I thought you wanted to go to Kalamazoo, if you didn't get in to Dartmouth.

You are turning in to a serial philanderer. ;)

Ooops, I apologize if I got you into some trouble Ajay.

Trouble? eh?

BalletGIrl: I am applying ED II to Brandeis (hopefully) but yes I have to decide between Brandeis and Kalamazoo its going to be tough.

Similar as in you're both interested in Dartmouth as well as Brandeis :)

Hey, since both of you are Indian, I have a question. Are Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi all seperate languages? I know that Urdu and Hindi are very similar, so I'm not sure about that, and I know Punjabi is primarily spoken in Punjab, so I'm not sure about that either. I want to list all three as languages to get whatever boost I can get, so I sure hop they are languages.

My dad told me to put all three down as languages, but my dad also tells me a lot of other stuff that aren't exactly sane, so I need more opinions.

They are all separate languages.
But make sure you know how to speak all three. Urdu and Hindi are more similar...Punjabi is the slightest bit more different than Hindi.
Don't think they are all dialects though. Totally different languages. Especially the scripts.

Writing punjabi, urdu and hindi is no joke. It took me like 3 years each to learn them.

I can speak Gujarati and Bengali too. Been traveling all my life. haha I have changed my school 10 times!

They're all different languages, yeah :)

Of the lot, I only know Hindi though

Cool, I guess that works then. Including english, that makes four. And then I've studied spanish and french in school. And I've been being privately tutored for Arabic. I hope this stuff gives me some boost.

Doesn't it stink that they don't have any SAT II on Hindi or Urdu?

You've changed your school 10 times? wow...
I wasn't able to get over the one school change i made for a very long time.

seriously- they have it for chineese , japanese but not for Hindi. how unfair is that......but it wuldn't have helped since u are advised not to take a sat2 language test of your native language.

w00t my new scores!

Math : 790
CR : 650

What as ur CR and maths break up for the october sat?
