wow

Oh god that last post sounded like something out of seventh heaven.

LAME (srry i'm a lil bored here)

LMAO----what's 'seventh heaven'?

you're just getting cold feet because it's such big transition. Don't worry about it and get excited.

lame? that was the best possible answer anybody could've given.

lighten up. by lame I meant cheezy. Just because something is a good answer, doesn't mean its not cheesy.

It was some TV show that like always had one of those cliche lessons at the end.

and I mean come on... the name of the person who posted it is "MrPuppy"!! Hahahaha

Good answer? It was not a good answer. If anyone is having doubts about Harvard vs. Georgetown, he/she needs to be branded "Harvard" on the posterior with a hot iron stick.

Do not make me prod someone.

7th Heaven...its a TV show on The WB network.

haha of course i would choose harvard over any school in the world, but some people are different.

ok seriously come on it's harvard

grade inflation...boston...prestige (far above that of georgetown)

How can you go wrong? Congratulations and just go have the time of your life.

Shag, definitely go to Harvard. There are unimaginable benefits.

I'm transferring to Columbia and I ain't looking back. Yes, I'll miss my profs like crazy, my lab and my work, and the transferring process is a huge pain in the arse, but it's all worth it. I'm positive that your feeling'll pass. We all reminisce about the place we're going to leave. You'll look back 20 years from now and be confident that you made the right choice.

I don't go to Georgetown now, and I'm a spring admit to Harvard. It's between going to WUSTL for the fall and then Harvard or going to Georgetown for the next three years. I have no idea what I'm going to do, but I'm giving myself three days to make a choice.

Go to Georgetown and be in DC.

Just to spice it up, although we all know this thread is pointless and that you will be going to WUSTL and Harvard.

I would choose WUSTL over Harvard and Georgetown because acronyms are cool.

heh, in all seriousness, have the time of your life at Harvard...Please don't look back. All these HYPS obsessed CCers will feel the urge to lynch you...

Why can't you go to Georgetown for a semester and go to Harvard in the spring instead?

for shame, for shag.

Weren't your main Harvard essays incredibly long? Read your "why harvard" essay one more time. And if you still don't feel motivated to attend, then just go to Georgetown. It shouldn't be such a huge deal. What is most important is your happiness, and you will probably be happy at either school right? So just weigh a few things out rationally and then go with your gut.

Personally, I think either way, you will still have buyer's remorse and you will still lament about it on cc.

well, ok, now i feel really lame. i just spent a really long time thinking about it and did decide to go to harvard and feel dumb for having second thoughts and don't really feel much buyers remorse actually, i just had to talk it out and think it out. i really wanted to go to them both and yes, would have been happy at georgetown too. this thread wasn't really supposed to be selfish or annoying or whatever, i really wasn't sure where i wanted to go but i am now.

Congrats on your admission btw ForShaganov =)

For Shaganov, having second thoughts seems pretty natural. But it seems like you've resolved whatever questions you had about your initial decision to go to Harvard over G-town. But, like the others said, if the "what if..." question keeps popping into your head, maybe you could call up G-town and at least find out what their policy is regarding changing your mind after getting an acceptance and turning it down? Whatever you decide, go with your gut.

"Whatever you decide, go with your gut".

It's what Steven Colbert would do.
