UCLAri :................look i may not have all the years and years of "experience" and all that jazz under my arse but i dont think that puts u in a position to mock me.and i'd like to credit my self with intelligence enough to compose an "intellligible" email. lol. so please dont judge me.
-p.s and besides the post wasnt sooooo unintelligible (jus the writing part not the content)..i was in a hurry ok?
p.p.s- i just hope the people from wherever you are arent all like this!!!*

liyana179: ...u seem quite human:) i could get to know u. lol
ok heres a "real" question. see the uc's have this site ucap? for checking your application status , when i first went on it my highschool was listed as "unknown HS-pakistan" (ya suprise suprise!im from pk)..though my school does have a ceeb code and all, anways so i changed it to the right school school...but now when i check on individual uc sites (like tritonlink and myappto uci and all), the high school still appears as unknown hs-pakistan. ive tried calling them and explaining. do think its worth the hassle or should i just leave it as it is?

having never been in that boat or knowing anyone else who has... i've no idea.
i don't know if it matters, yet, that the UCs don't know what specific high school you went to, but perhaps it might matter when you're trying to get credits from high school to apply to a UC?
right now it could just be lag, things not yet updated, but if it's not fixed by, say, the time you go to orientation... i'd get it dealt with.
so when you accept an offer of admission from a UC, contact that specific school to get it resolved.
glad you see me as human ;)

and i'd like to credit my self with intelligence enough to compose an "intellligible" email.

I'm old enough to know that writing emails intelligibly will help get your questions answered.

I advise you to listen to UCLAri's advice. You will have to start using proper email/message etiquette and style in your emails to higher authorities.

It will certainly not impress UCLA, professors, or any other agency if you "write using your emotions". In fact, you can try doing that and be disappointed by the results ..

I'm not mocking you. If I were mocking you, I would have expected far less. I do believe that you are capable of writing a well-written, intelligent message to whomever you with to communicate with. However, with youth writing standards being what they are today, I'm always nervous about how undergrads and high school students choose to write.

That said, if you think that being at UCLA or any other top UC is a sign of writing, you ought to see some of the e-mails I get from undergrads...

thanks. anyway, do you know when admissions results come out? because ucla doesn't have admissions site to login or anything like the others, so i'm a little bit confused. People in my school have been saying the 29th, but i don't know if that's true....UCLA website says "end of March".

But i do know they will come by mail and both online, but how the online thing works, i have no idea.

how is ucla's music/music business program?

has anyone HERD ANYTHING from ucla ??? (excpt fo u engineering ppl. ikno)..........ur right thr aint no where u can check up on your admit status and stuf:(

Art school people are starting to get invites to an open house for admitted students...so if you get one of those invites that's probably a good sign

hi im sarah. im from fl (originally ny - for 12 years) and ive been looking into possibly going to ucla for college. im currently a junior in high school. i have a 4.4 GPA and get good grades.

but i just really wanted to know how ucla is
im looking into history or religious studies as a major
and its so hard to find online if ucla is good in either of these departments so i figured id ask the students

and any info on pros and cons of the school
