Writing an essay about the future?

Hello all, hope you're doing well! I know that many people worry about the strength of their topic and whether or not it's too cliche, but I just had a quick question. I'm planning on writing a semi-creative essay about my high school reunion that will take place in about 30 years. I was thinking about detailing what I've "experienced" from the time period of college to the time of the reunion. It's not going to be like, "Oh, I went to law school and studied law, became a lawyer, now I love my job" or some such thing, but rather more random things, or unconventional things..........

I don't really want to go into the specific content of the essay, but do you think this is somewhat risky? I think it could possibly be, but I'm not sure. I feel that if it's done correctly, it could stand out in terms of creativity and content. I'd like to hear your guys' thoughts, though! Ask me to elaborate if I wasn't clear enough, please.

Oh yeah, this is for the Common App...11 and a half days :( ugh for procrastination. Which I tried and failed to make the subject of my essay :s

bump…opinions? :|

bumpppppppp

Sounds okay to me, as long as you pull it off.

A college essay is more about your writing than it is about your topic.

Just an advice: If I were you, I wouldn’t post my topic in a public forum like this.

Luckily, I’ve already chosen my topics (though I haven’t written anything yet)

but there are plenty of others who would readily use your idea.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I was a little hesitant about posting the topic, but I just tried to make it as general as I could for your guys’ opinions. Hmm. I’ll just see how it goes, I guess.
