Writing essay after deferred...

I was deferred ED from CUNY Honors College, and was told I could write an essay explaining why the school is still my first choice, and why I'm the right student to pick. Has anyone here written an essay like this? Anybody have any tips of what to write? What to say? Is it like the personal statement essay that we write for our application? Does it still have to be creative and all that jazz? Or just direct and to the point? Ahh sorry! I've just never had to do this before!

(I should probably mention that I graduated this past June, so I won't have semester grades or any awards I can add on later. What I have now is it. I will be retaking the SATs and ACTs, so hopefully they improve, but that's about it. The school doesn't do interviews, so this essay has to be good enough to get me in!!)

which school did you apply to? i know plenty of people from baruch who were waitlisted originally (which receive most of the cuny honors applications), but ended up having to come in for meetings for those who were waitlisted, and about 10/70 students in the honors college at baruch were all from the waitlist. another girl i know bypassed the entire meetings because she had written a letter similar to the one you are hoping to write. it definitely works (at least for baruch). don't waste time.. write that essay.

yeah..which school did u apply to and wat r ur stats?
