<p>So if you own your text books, I assume you're allowed to write in them? Probably a dumb question but wanted to make sure there wasn't some weird "honor code" reason that would disallow it.</p>
<p>Once you buy it you can pretty much do anything you like with it. However keep in mind it greatly reduces the resale value.</p>
