<p>I'm pretty new to writing to colleges and aquiring information. If I'm writing an e-mail to a college admissions office, or to a school requesting information of some sort, is there a specific format one should follow?</p>
<p>(IE, do I just write an email and say; To whom it may concern?)</p>

<p>Most colleges have a link on their admissions page. You don't really need to compose a nice letter--you just need to give them your addresses.</p>
<p>Or you can do a little digging on the website to find out the name of the admissions counselor serving your geographic area. Take the opportunity to mention some things you find interesting about that particular college and to explain your interests - try to build a relationship with them!</p>
