<p>First one is, well, the first one. The second one is wordy, and there is nothing wrong with the first one.</p>

<p>(1) For the first question the original is correct. I agree with the previous poster.</p>

<p>(2) For the second question “at once” suggests that the following view/event/whatever is concurrent with the first, hence “and” by itself is the best choice. The “is” is implied.</p>
