So, I took a psych class online this fall. My final grade was an A, I saw it after I completed my final. There were no other grades to be entered and everything was added up. My teacher recorded that I got a C for my final grade. I have emailed her multiple times and all I have received back is an 'out of office' email. I'm kind of freaking out because of the january update. My teachers out of office email says she'll be out till Jan 31st.

If possible, try to contact the dean of the department. Explain your situation, make it clear that the grade is a mistake, and the dean should be able to change your grade.

If all else fails and you are unable to resolve the issue by the “Jan 31st update” deadline, I believe you are still able to submit corrections through February.

If you can manage to get this corrected by about the 10th of Feb or so, I think you should still be OK, because my senior transfer counselor (who used to be a UCLA admissions rep) said this is generally speaking OK (although there is no guarantee, of course). He said they don’t look at the files till about that time (at the earliest)

I was going to do this myself, because I was in a situation where my Physics professor had initially agreed to give me an “Incomplete”, so that I could take the final (the only incomplete part) in Feb when school reopened for spring, and then I was going to send the “updated grade” in. Unfortunately, the professor reneged on his promise and I ended up with a “C” in course :(

NOTE: If you are unable to resolve the issue, explain this in detail in the “comments box” provided in the update form. Let them know you will send them the corrected grade AS SOON AS you get it fixed.
