I made a mistake on all of my college applications. I put the incorrect SSN on my applications, and I have only recently found about it. I filed my FAFSA with the correct SSN, and turned it in on time, but I'm wondering if messing up the original application will affect how much financial aid I receive.

Please help!

You need to contact each school to correct the app info. Otherwise the FA information may not be connected to your apps.

I did this, too. Whoops. Contact the schools ASAP! Call, do not email (that takes too much time) and see what they want you to do. Some let me change over phone. Others made me mail or fax something in with a copy of my social security card.

My son did it, too. Romani is right … call each to see what they want.
