Wrong Test Score Reported

I know this is under the wrong section but no one will reply in the other ones.

I have no idea how this happened, but I reported i had a 28 on the writing section of an ACT when I had a 27. I sent all the colleges a email saying I was really, really sorry about it and had no intention of attempting to cheat. Are colleges forgiving of a little mistake like this? It was truly an honest mistake, and i have attempted to correct the problem. Please help.

ouch.

hopefully, they'll just think that you weren't careful enough when checking your app over and not that you were trying to cheat.

i think that the only other thing that you can do is talk to your guidance counselor about the situation and have him/her either email or call the schools and explain the mistake. it'll sound more legit coming from a counselor than from an applicant.

good luck!
