Wrting I

My daughter is going to be a freshmen this fall. The Writing I seems to be a required
course during freshmen. is that right?

If so, how many unit is the course? The course catalogue does not indicate any unit number, sections, and shcedule. Would you let us know how the course works?

Thanks in advance.

Writing I is required for non-engineers. All of the information you’re looking for is on the course listing at courses.wustl.edu.

The schedule in the course listing book is different from the course listing at courses.wustl.edu. Would you let ne know which one is more reliable source?

For the record (in case anyone reading this is confused), there are some engineers that have to take Writing 1. It would be more appropriate to say “everyone has to take writing 1 EXCEPT some engineers that have the ability to place out.”

erkybk - courses.wustl.edu is the one you should always go with.

True, although knowing this person is not an engineer, I decided to be straightforward. But yeah, you’re absolutely right.

The website is more accurate as it can and is updated numerous times after the book is printed. There’s an entire Writing 1 section on the courses site.
