Any thoughts on Washington University in St. Louis Olin School of Business versus William and Mary?

William and Mary

Both are great schools with nice students and beautiful campuses. You can get a great education at either place. Economics are quite different:
WashU $45k per year
WandM $15k per year in state (don't know if you are in or out) or 1/3rd the price.

Assuming as a Doctor you can afford either, but is WashU really worth the difference?

My D had this choice also, as well as others. She chose W & M and has never looked back. Both are great schools, no doubt. She just found the atmosphere to be more fun and to her liking at W & M. Good luck!

The students are very hard working at both schools. William and Mary has the reputation of being a super-serious, intellectual place, which is great if you are that type of person. Washington University has a reputation of being very pre-professional, which is not particularly great, whether or not you are that type of person. About two-thirds of the students at William and Mary are in-state, which detracts from regional diversity. Washington University actively recruits from all over the country, and uses merit money to attract the best students. William and Mary has the feel of a liberal arts college, whereas Washington University as more the feel of an Ivy League university.

You might want to check out class sizes; they are shockingly large at Wash U
