hey guys,

any one thinking of transferring to Wash U, for fall 07!! Holla back!

Yo. I'm in.

hey wats really good? im in international student and I am presently at a liberal arts college in Illinois. I went to St louis to see the Wash U campus and I literally fell in love with it,. been thinking about transferring for a long time now. my school has a very good biology (pre- med) prog. but im looking for more. more competition, more research opportunities, which will undoubtedly better my chances of getting into med school. you started wit the apps? I already sent it the Pre-app and the mid-semester progress report.

i'm applying to WUSTL for fall 07 too.

I've done the pre-app, common app, recommendations, high school transcripts, and test scores...and sent in everything but the common app. All that's left is the essay. How did you already finish the mid-semester progress report? I thought you were supposed to have your transcripts sent AFTER this semester's grades are out, then fill out the mid-semester progress report for the Spring 07 semester.

I think WUSTL would be a great place for you transferko since you're wanting to do pre-med. Good luck to both of you.

"Mid-Semester Progress Report
If you are in your first year of college, you must present at least one completed semester of full-time college work with your application for transfer admission or submit a completed Mid-Semester Progress Report. Complete the “To the Applicant” section of the Mid-Semester Progress Report and give the form to each of your current instructors. All applicants for spring admission will be required to submit this form for admission consideration."

This was straight form their website, and they were referring to freshmen, I'm a sophomore so i just got my professors to fill in my mid-semester grades for this semester.

Im filling the online app on the common app website which is a lot faster i must say, all I have left is the essay and I have to take my time to write it.

Already given my professors the ev. forms and I just need to send my transcript.

What's your major?

oh ok cool...so if I'm a sophomore (now), do I still need to do the mid-semester progress report...next semester...or what?

I'm going to be majoring in Economics.

economics, cool. i guess so im not sure, it was part of the whole application. i called thier admissions office and they said i would need to send it before i send my transcript ., so yea this semester is already over and if u wait till next semester the deadline would have passed. I'll advice u to jus call their admissions office and ask them, they are really helpful.

is it true they go by the rolling application? and wen does it start?

yeah they and wesleyan are definitely the nicest schools i've talked to.

you can start submitting your app on january 15th and they say they send out decisions about a month after they've received your app...so i'm guessing we could receive decisions as early as feb. 15th or so. I'm going to do that, pray that I'm accepted, go visit and pay $200 deposit, and then see who else lets me in. If I'm accepted, due to their early decision (in a sense), WUSTL will be my "fallback" school. How freakin crazy is that. If I don't get in at WUSTL, I'll have to put a deposit down at UTAustin instead. :$

here we go:

We will notify applicants of admission decisions on a rolling basis, within 30 days after all components of the application have been received (after September 15, 2006 for spring 2007 applicants and after January 15, 2007 for fall 2007 applicants). Following notification of admission, the dean of the school to which you have been admitted (Architecture, Art, etc.) will send you a statement indicating the credit we have awarded you from your previous college enrollments.

If you decide to enroll, you must confirm your decision by submitting a $200 nonrefundable enrollment deposit within two weeks of the admission notification. If you are applying for financial assistance, your deposit deadline will be established after a financial assistance decision has been made.
