hey
my first try i gotta 1410 ( 670v 740m)
2nd:1480 (680v 800m)
3rd: 1470 (710v 760m)
so technically my score Went DOWN.....isnt that gonna look really bad to colleges...i mean i should be getting smarter....
but some people think that colleges consider your Top section scores.......but personally i think that is too unfair, and unrealistic.
i jus wanna kno the truth.
thx a lot

Don't worry about your other scores. All that matters is your highest, which is a good score.

This is not unrealistic, it may be unfair, but it is definitely the way the vast majority of colleges look at SAT scores (The UCs are the main exception). A 1510, which is your highest combined, is definitely very good, and a 1480 is absolutely nothing to be taken lightly.

About your scores going down, the SAT makes a point of saying your math and verbal scores should be seen as ranges, which can be expected to fluctuate 30 points in either direction. If you look at your middle score for each one, you'll see that this explains your verbal scores (670<-680--->710) and very nearly explains your math scores (740<--760---->800). So, you should not see your minor drop in score - and remember that 10 points is the slightest change possible - as detrimental.

your scores are very consistent (i go from 680 to 800 and then back to 690!!!)
