It's not out here until December 2, and I'm TERRIFIED of launch day because I work in a game store! I won't be getting one at launch though. The first next-gen console I will buy will be the Nintendo Revolution, and I'd like to get a PSP before I get that.

Whens the revolution coming out?

Allegedly the middle of next year, but I wouldn't be surprised if that became 2007.

hmm if it did that it would be way behind ps3, especially if it was aiming for the christmas rush. I guess you could think of it being ahead of the others but this would only work if the revolution seemed more advanced to the public. but by then we'd be well on our way to xbox3. that's going to be weird.

sold mine on ebay for $810, planning to get another one when the next shipping is out

Nice! Yeah my friend works at a computer store and he was going to be able to get as many as he wanted for like 30% off! Apparently he's an idiot and he forgot so he lost out on about 2k profit. That upsets me to no end.

even though i can im not buying one because
1. no games i want to pla are out yet
2. launch systems always have problems. ill let them work out the kinks first
3. im cheap, i want a price drop

I want one badly, but I cant find any in the area :(

Why not get one shipped to you?

Console gaming is lame.

I think performance wise, it is, but nothing can replace the nights that my friends and I spent in Halo battles. I know you can LAN but it's just not the same as sitting right next to your pals in front of a tv, jerking that controller, munching on cheetos (really bad for controllers btw) and yelling obscenities at eachother at the top of your lungs.

^ good times... i miss those days... 6 on 6 halo in my friends basement was a weekly thing...

Yeah well worry not. College is coming. As is Halo 3 :) It will be probably a daily thing. There probably won't be a basement however.

i have a problem with people against console gaming, who usually are pc gamers. these people generally use the argument the pc's have better graphics and performance times. DOES IT REALLY MATTER? sure great graphics are nice, but if they are good/ok and they dont detriment gameplay is it truly a huge problem? i mean so what if the textures arent as smooth, are your eyes going to convulse in pain? will you really stop playing the game for graphics alone? and two, performance. woop de friggin do. if the fps is lower than a pc game it one again really doesnt matter. does the game run smooth? is the lag minimal or nonexistant? those should be the questions. personally, im just sick and tired of people who put down games for the two above reasons. i mean if its not perfect who really gives a s***? there are tons of good games that dont have cutting edge grpahics or performance, like psychonauts or gta.

just had to get this off my chest. if you dont think this way il bandito, im sry, i just needed to get it out

i'm a console and pc gamer, both have their ups and downs so why can't we all get along

yeah we should, i should really control my rants.....

I just got my xbox 360 yesterday it is awesome

congrats, what game did you get?
