yeah 1590 M+V killed me, and I live in PA!!

thats bullcrap/wishful thinking. yale wouldnt say “we expect the rate of admission for deferred candidates to be the same as the regular decision rate” if it wasn’t true. in other words, its in YALES best interest to tell us if we have some edge if it in fact existed. it’s wishful thinking, and there is some logic in believing that deferred acceptance rate is higher, but i dont think its true…unfortunately for us

That’s reassuring, and hopefully the adcoms think the same thing >_>. On the other thing, yea, it really started to **** me off that all we discussed was school dances. Anyways, the school board is still debating some of my ideas (crosses fingers), but I’m not expecting much to come out of it.

me too…it’s not my first choice anymore. only because I’ve realized how lucky I’ll be to even be admitted.
I love how all the deferees [including me] who were like “omgzzz yale!!!1111” two months ago are now completely nonchalant about it.

I don’t have a first choice anymore…I’ll have a first choice once I see where I’ve been accepted :/

i feel the same way… when people ask me what college is my number one, I reply whichever will accept me. I don’t want to say a college and get my hopes up thinking that I might get in.

hey just joining this convo now…kinda late…oh well…but anyway, i know its a longshot but i still have faith in Yale. Hopefully living in New Haven County has some perks! XD

I’m joining the conversation pretty late x] I got kinda nervous at college decisions (theyre in a little over a month!) so I decided to see how everyone else is doing.

You just have to forget about it for a while and then you’ll re-remember it with about a week to go… And you’ll be counting down the days, and then the letter will be a couple of days late. Or I suppose you could go online but idk something aesthetically pleasing about opening up a letter.
