Yale 2015 SCEA Applicant Stats Comparison

International (ETHIOPIA)
geez. I’m really regreting I applied. Anyway here are my #s, please try not to laugh—
2020- 640R, 670M, 710 (10)W
SAT IIs-- i sent them but Yale didn’t get them. They just sent an email asking if I had taken 'em, and if NOT when I intended to do so.

Haha don’t worry, this is on average more like the top .5th% I think really, especially on some of the threads like the Yale Stats Comparison. Its just the higher your score, the more comfortable you feel with sharing them. There’s a lot of people without 2400/4.0/etc. that just don’t want to post on here, which lets it grow more intimidating, which becomes a vicious cycle…

The average stats on here are, on the whole, above average for Yale applicants, but they aren’t much different and certainly don’t represent anywhere near the 99th percentile.

The people in the 99th percentile probably have received likely letters already.

Ah I read that as the top 1% of all high school graduates, not of the applicant pool. But for all kids, that would be true, or at least around 95-97+th% (off memory of SAT score distributions)

Well Yale’s accepted 75th percentile scores added together result in a 2370, but obviously the correlation in scores between the three sections are far from perfect. I think it’d be reasonable to assume that the actual 75th percentile score is around 2320-2340.

^That makes sense, as the 75th percentile is a 35 on the ACT.

I thought 75th percentile was a 34.

Edit: Never mind it says 35 on the application instructions page. But everywhere else it’s listed as 34.

As far as I know, only recruited athletes receive likely letters during the SCEA round.

^Yeah, otherwise you would have gotten one. =D

Silverturtle–

I really do hope you get accepted. We here at CC have built up a reputation of you as a god. If you get rejected, it would be a very climatic period of time for not only you but also us. It would be a shame if, after all these compliments to your intelligence, you didn’t get into a Yale, and say, a jerk like Jersey13 got in :)

^woah, where did that come from?

I think the last comment was sarcasm haha…
Or at least I hope.

I don’t know. I just felt like saying it. Jeez.

LOL. And drama ensues…

I don’t think “climactic” was the word you were looking for.

Shut your ass up.

waaaaaaaaat

UN-STARRED PROFANITY.
blacks out

Haha! I got in a fight with silverturtle too! So many nice memories. I got yelled at by the moderators… so don’t let this get out of hand!!
