Yale 2015 SCEA Applicant Stats Comparison

There could be some type of correlation between high SAT scores and overall applicant presentation? I don’t know…

^
Yeah, I’ve already seen all of that. XD
I’m talking about main stream reality TV show haha.

I didn’t go through this thread because I knew I was going to be depressed.
But I did, now.
And I am very, very depressed.
dies

^Exactly.
I now really have a hard time believing how an acquaintance of mine (international, no hook, ORM) got into Yale with a 2200 SAT I two years ago.

SAT: 2360 (800 M, 770 CR, 790 W)
SAT IIs: 800 Math 2, 800 Lit, 780 Bio M
APs: None. I take IB courses (5 HL’s, 2 SL’s)
GPA: ~4.4 weighted
Rank: Unranked, but top 5%

But like GOPTexas already said, scores are relatively unimportant. If they’re high enough to put you in the acceptable range, it’s everything else about you as an applicant that makes the difference.

That won’t be much comfort in the case of deferral/rejection, though…

SAT: 2310 (800 CR, 750 M, 760 W)
SAT IIs: 710 Latin, 700 Lit (lol.)
APs: Latin (Vergil) 5, Psych 5, Music Theory 5, Calc AB 5
GPA: ~3.85 unweighted
Rank: School doesn’t rank.

You guy have amazing stats. Humbling to read through this thread.

I have never know anyone at my school to have gotten over a 2300 on their SAT. I think the average score at my school is like a 1250. Seeing all of these people with such great scores is very eye-opening, and will make Dec 15th very interesting.

ACT: 36
SAT: 2400
SATII: Math II 800, US History 800, Literature 800, Chemistry 800, Biology 800, Physics 800, Chinese 800, German 800, Spanish 800, French 800. (All with listening.)

Class rank: 1/ 6,000,000,000
GPA: 4 Unweighted

I got into Harvard once but I’m applying to Yale for fun. I recently passed a healthcare bill and an 800 billion dollar spending bill. And I am NOT an international student, no matter what the GOP says. Yes we can.

imm soooooooo nervoooussss guyzzzz.

^hahahahahaha

:)

but so so so so nervous, guys.

SAT: 2400
SAT II: Chemistry-800, US History-800, World History-770, BioM-740
Class Rank: No rank (probably top 5% though)
GPA: 96

lol @ obama

It’s something completely unrelated to Yale SCEA, but I just think it’s amazing how some of the words are universally understood since their pronunciations are exactly the same or very similar regardless of cultures, like “hahahahahaha” (a word?) and “mom”.

Funnily enough, the first time I saw “jajaja”, I thought it sounded like “yayaya”, regardless of my learning spanish for a few years.

But yeah it is really cool, really shows how so many languages have developed down the language tree.

i didnt know that many smart people existed.

Surprise surprise.

SAT: 2370 (800 R, 770 M, 800 W, 12 essay)
SATII: 800 US History, 800 Biology M, 800 World History, 800 Literature
APs: 5’s on 17 exams
GPA: 4.0 unweighted
Rank: 1 / 580

Someone please tell me that somehow only the top 1% of the applicant pool ends up on CC and that the average applicant does not have stats like those on this thread.

I just realized I hadn’t posted here! My two cents:

ACT: 35 (35 E 36 R 35 M 35 S 9 E)
AP: 5 on Lang/Comp, Stats, Spanish, World History, 4 on APUSH
Class rank: 4/~800
GPA: 4.0 UW, some ridiculous 4.9 that doesn’t even make sense weighted
