^
What if I’m doing the teacher recommendations through the Common App school forms page? It says that both teacher recs have submitted their recommendations, so does that mean the recommendations will be sent with my common app when I send that online?

Finally submitted today. I was so nervous pressing the submit button!

Good Luck to all of you!

:D

Haha, same. Every time my arrow hovered over the submit button, I went back and proofread everything again.

Oh gosh, I’m nervous. I’m submitting either later today or early tomorrow. :/

I submitted. Hesitation? No, not really. Hmm… I need something to keep me busy for the next ~46 days… Fantasy football and AP Lit research paper, here I come!

My next 46 days will be spent working on other apps.

hey when I look at the print preview some of the stuff like descriptions of my ECs seems to have been cut off. whats wrong??

^ I think that’s just the print preview. It’s not like CommonApp could say “here’s this much space” and then only show two-thirds of it.

@Owlehn - If you want to send ACTs, they require that you send all (official for the top score, write-in on CommonApp for the others). If you want to send any SATs (even just one subject test), they ask you to send all SAT scores.

^^actually, I think you have to edit the EC descriptions until everything is visible on the print preview. I would do so to be on the safe side.

^ well, too late for me
whatever.

It seems stupid that they would do that.

I asked 2 teachers to do my letters of rec and turned in my transcript request form (for a counselor rec) almost a month ago. One teacher said that the letter was finished and linked to Naviance, but in the School Forms section of the Common App, it says “school forms not started.” What should I do? Has anyone else experienced this?

^^^Now I’m a bit upset at that. I don’t think it’ll make the difference, though. They’ll hopefully get the gist. But I have a question for anyone who’s submitted the app. Have you received your eli account info yet?

I’d ask your gc. All my stuff is in, but the Common App still says school forms are incomplete (because certain materials like ED agreement don’t apply to SCEA, etc). So you might be fine.

I submitted Thursday, haven’t got it. Didn’t expect to. Although I did read on CC that applicants last year got it within a couple days. We’ll see.

I just found out that a friend from my school has the same concept for the Why Yale section as me. She’s also applying SCEA. uh oh.

It’s 500 characters… Relax.

It took two weeks for mine to come. Sent in application on October 7, received Eli account info on October 21.

^^ I’m perfectly relaxed.

I submitted my app on the 13th, got my Eli account on the 21st.

Also, I left the Why Yale blank, because it said it was optional! But later I read in another thread someone said the adcoms hate that. AHHH. I did have a section in my Yale 2nd essay that said why I wanted to go to Yale… might that help? I’ve resigned myself to a deferral or rejection, though… wooo…

I don’t know if this question has been asked before. but when it says that the application for REA is due on November 1, does that mean we can submit it on November 1, as long as it is still November 1?
I was going to submit my stuff Oct 31, but I was hoping to come to school on monday and get some last minute revision and grammar stuff for my essay, and then submit it afterschool.
