Hey guys do people get likely letters for SCEA? not that im expecting one lol just curious
Yes, if youāre a recruited athlete. Otherwise, no.
this wait is pretty brutal ngl. donāt know how im going to survive RD
Yeah I feel you dude. My confidence lowers every day.
If it makes you feel any better, they havenāt made decisions yet. I called them and asked for something and at the end of my conversation I was like āsoā¦ any good news?ā and she was like āthe committee hasnāt met yet so no decisions have been made.ā
oh wow i didnt know you could call them like that! and yes the wait is horrible. some days im like, āi deserve a chanceā, other days im like, āwho cares im scumā sighā¦ thats low self esteem for ya
Hi everyone, I just joined CC-- decided I should stop just reading the thread and actually contribute something! Just to reassure people who are worried about not being contacted for an interview, I was contacted yesterday and just had my interview today, so if you havenāt head anything, donāt worry, they could still reach out
Update: My son received his interview email today. Thank you for the support on this thread!
hey guys do u want to discuss ur main achievements and your thoughts on ur chances? In the Harvard threads, they are doing it so why not, right lol
does the portal state what time on Dec 14 the decisions will come out?
@MA312 no, but iād bet somewhere from 5-7PM EST
I just had my interview today, has anyone else done theirs/how did it go?
@elisabethem congrats! it feels so nice to get it over and done with. i thought mine went really well! we had a lot of similar interests and it was super casual. how about you?
hey Iām applying RED for Yale. im a little confused on their standardized testing policies. for those who have applied for early decision, do i send my official act scores now or just self report on the common app? also, if i send in the act with writing, am i supposed to also send in Sat Subject tests? thanks!
You are required to report all of either SAT or ACT. You may either self report on the CA/Yale supplement or send official results. If you took your test with essay you will need to self-report the essay score as well. The subject tests are strongly recommended regardless of which standardized test you are going to report.
Hey,
Iāve a little problem with my SAT scores. I had my scores sent from college board on 3rd November. But, my portal says otherwise. Shall I contact the admission office?
Iām applying EA.
I think the directions from Yale were that they would begin to assess your application with whatever scores you have currently on file (ie before Nov. comes in).
It took forever for my sonās score send to a few colleges to go through the week before Thanksgiving so CB seems to be really backed up! He wasnāt rush, though (they were for RD) so maybe was on a back burner due to the Nov. scores needing to get out.
@akrem111 did you self report on the common app as well or just send the score report?
@dreamthief001 actually Iām an international srudent. My GC sent a report including my test results along with my transcripts. But it seems internationals are not allowed to self-report their test results
@akrem111 It couldnāt hurt to email the registrar with your admissions PIN located on the top of your Yale portal. Itās a pretty long series of numbers, but be sure to give them that code so they can quickly find your profile and address the problem promptly. Sending them in on November 3 is a little late, though. I sent mine in super early because it takes a while for them to process the scores.
Iām applied to Yale SCEA for the class of 2023. Iām nervous as hell, and >22 kids are applying from my grade of 250. Weāre all going to be okay. Good luck to everyone. We will all get through these next few weeks regardless of the outcome.
