@ninakatarina, EA does not affect the FA deadline. They just recommend getting stuff in by March 1. https://admissions.yale.edu/financial-aid-prospective-students#apply
Thank you, @BKSquared , that sets my mind at ease.
Werenât they recommending CSS and IDocs submitted sometime in December for the SCEA? Am I misremembering?
By November 9 if you want to have provisional award. But you can submit after admission decision.
^Here is the link. The Nov 9 date is applicable if you want a provisional award notification at the time of the early admission decision (assuming acceptance).

Thank you @cooweather and @BKSquared. Not sure why I thought December so I went back to the IDoc portal and for some reason 12/3 is listed for Yale. When I click for âmore informationâ I get a 404 message. So not sure that date is relevant at all, just in case anyone else is wondering.
If I took the October ACT should I just send my scores now?
just got my applicant portal info! this is all so nerve-wracking⊠canât wait for december 14!
@1TigerJ894 yes so that theyâll receive them in time
@dreamthief001 same! I started freaking out as soon as I hit the submit button, but looking at the admissions portal just made it feel so much more real haha
how are you guys dealing with the wait? itâs been about four weeks since i hit submit and itâs been a boring and anxious month. any tips on passing the time?
.Enjoy your senior year of HS. You only get one. Hang out with your friends, youâll all scatter to the winds soon enough. Savor the time you spend with your family. Youâll be missing them right about this time next year.
Focus on your school work as well, since you might be required to submit a mid-year report.
Well, I didnât think that his second recommender was going to make it in on time, but I see the letter has been uploaded to the high schoolâs Naviance system so all that has to happen is the guidance counselor upload and the EA application is complete!
Such a relief. I should have remembered that this teacher always got her grades in at the last minute too.
@ninakatarina the same thing happened with my teacher! itâs hard to know part of your application is riding completely on someone else. glad your teacher got it in on time!
⊠and now itâs showing uploaded on the portal. Time to find a nice distraction for the next 6 weeks.
So Iâm taking the SAT Subject Tests this November 3rd, and I just submitted my Yale SCEA app today. For Yale to receive my scores on time for consideration, do I have to put Yale on the âSend Scores When Availableâ list on College Board? Or can I wait and see my scores first, then send them to Yale?
College Board says:
âNovember 16: Online and paper score reports will be available.
Within 10 days after you receive scores: We send colleges your scores.â
You can upload thenm on your portal canât you? Yale accepts self-reported during the admissions process. That would be the fastest way to get that information to them.
How long does it take the portal to come through?
@1Tiger21 I got my portal info in my email about 24 hours after I sent my application in
My son submitted his app. on Tues night and got his portal sign-in e-mail by the next morning. They work fast.
