EA Admitted Student here! My portal changed (it added a slot to submit my mid year report) about an hour before my decision came out. Did the same thing for everyone else who was eventually admitted. So portal changes are definitely glitches but nonetheless meaningful.
Weird question: does anyone else’s portal have the mid-year report being received twice - once with a green check mark next to it, and another time with a little picture next to it (the same kind of icon that’s next to to the Common App piece)?
Bulldog Days has been cancelled due to coronavirus
yes, mine looks like that, listing mid year grade reports twice
my checklist shows the mid-year report 4 times… once with a check & the other 3 with icons. so weird
Do you know if Yale will not be sending more likely letters?
Does yale request idoc docs?
It did for me… But I’m International.
Yes, we had to submit several.
Hi guys! I’m middle eastern, and I thought that because the country I’m from is in Asia, my ethnicity would be Asian.
However, apparently people from my country are “white”.
Have I jeopardized my admission chances?
Should I contact colleges to correct this mistake?
@HYPSM2024 No. That sounds like a very trivial problem and shouldn’t affect your chances. If you’re still worried then you should contact their office, although I would think it’s a little too late to do anything now considering there’s a week left until Ivy Day.
Anybody receive a financial aid email?
No, did you?
Do we know when decisions are being released?
@curlyqriley 26th. Beginning from 7 pm EDT…
Best for you to send a note to admissions immediately since if you receive an acceptance offer and they find out that you are “white” and you are not Asian, they will rescind the offer even if your race was not a factor in their decision. Just explain your mistake.
You can safely ignore the above advice. The colleges will not change your admission based upon this, as neither is considered a favored demographic.
It cant hurt to be honest!
Guys, have any international students been admitted to Yale without interviews?
@Arushi216
“Maybe. We are not able to offer an interview to every applicant. An interview offer is not a signal regarding the status of your application. For more information about interviews for international applicants, please see the section on interviewing in Applying to Yale as an International Student.”
From the International Applicant FAQ page!
