Yale and Subject Tests

Hi guys! I was just wondering if anyone knew what is seen as more favorable by the admissions office: sending in two poor SAT Subjdct Test scores (Chem:690 and Bio: 700) or not sending in subject test scores at all. Thanks!

You are asking the $100,000 bonus question – and no one on CC is absolutely certain of the answer.

Past wisdom would suggest that SAT Subject Test scores below 700 will NOT move an applicant’s file forward. However, who knows what might happen if you submit SAT Subject Test scores thought to be at the low-end for Yale vs. not submitting them at all. My gut says submit your SAT Subject Test scores, as your overall 1470 SAT/33 ACT scores are smack-dab in the middle of Yale’s range . . . and more data points may help your case rather than detract from it. @gibby ok thank you so much for your reply! I appreciate the response.

I’m in your same exact predicament! I have a 680 on Literature and 710 on Math 2. My GPA is a 95.84 weighted, and my SAT 1 is a 2220. I have stellar extracurriculars (Science Olympiad VP, Girls Varsity Fencing Captain, School Newspaper Editor, 250+ volunteer hours at a hospital, 4 summer jobs), essays, and recs. I’m hoping and praying that my SAT 2s are okay enough for Yale… :’(
