2300????? Omg omg omg omg
panic attack

below 2250

2300 lol are you kidding?

below 2390, you MUST Kill yourself the minute you see the score.

I thought it was anything below a 2400?

OH thanks for all the support you amazing people. not.

seriously, for yale, look at christiansoldier’s stats
he got 2400, multiple 800s on subject tests, numerous 5s and deferred by yale

I think below 2050 would be ok.

P.S. Sorry for putting an end to the sarcasm.

seriously, for yale, look at christiansoldier’s stats

but there was also another person with 2400 who got in. So, it’s a crapshoot. To the OP: You decide what to make of it.

there is no sarcasm here. this is reality.

Dont kill yourself for whatever score you get…

I was literally just talking to a current Yale student, and to be quite honest, she’s amazingly smart…but her 2370 is not the average score…to be competitive, you really need to shoot for somewhere 2100 or higher. Yet, regardless of what other posters say in jest, a 2400/800/800/800 doesn’t guarantee anyone admittance into an Ivy. Your ECs, your personality, your recs, your essays, etc. create the entire picture — exactly what colleges care about…numbers are numbers. Looking at others’ scores will only bring your hopes down…there are no quotas. Be personal. Be specific. Shoot for 2100+, and, even if you don’t get that high, apply anyways. You may be what they are looking for. Good luck!

@pigs
Sure he/she got deferred, but chances die only when scores are very low. And there was some sarcasm above your post.

:D to all those who raised my morale, thankyou.
to all those being sarcastic- for a second there i diverting from killling myself to killing YOU  so thankyou

"for a second there i diverting from killling myself to killing YOU so thankyou "

lol

I have a friend who’s currently at Yale…I think she had about a 2350 superscore (took it twice), and so a 2300 is more than likely safe. I’m pretty sure her ECs and recs were much more important to Yale than her SAT score, though.

my boyfriend’s cousin goes to Yale and she got like 2360 (i think) and had a 4.9 GPA from high school. many 5s.

best of luck
