<p>So even though I wasn’t submitting at midnight, I literally hit submit the exact moment I was supposed to be called for our opening night of our Fall Play. Ran out the door and speed to the school haha. I would have been fine for time had I not, at my sister’s urging, changed the last two sentences of my common app essay. After half an hour of work, it turned out changing “our” to “the” completely reflected the goal I was going for…such a simple change!</p>

btw is this year’s decision gonna be on dec 14 or 15? cuz on the pledge thread it says the 14th but the previous few years its always been the 15th… and is it always at 5pm EST?</p>

<p>Is it typical that Yale Admissions would have downloaded app, supplement and recommendations today? I submitted late last night and they already say “downloaded on Nov 2”.</p>
<p>Yeah, I’m pretty sure that they downloaded everybody’s right when the deadline passed. I noticed that everything was downloaded from me when I check last night at like 12:30ish</p>

Shameful confession: I’ve stalked most of you SCEAers and I’m terrified.</p>

<p>Not that I just did my own stalking, but that is terrifyingly shameful.</p>
<p>So I didn’t upload anything for the additional information on the Common App. I thought it was something like the supplements that you only do if you are in the extreme case (i.e. homeless). However, seeing all these posts has me doubting this assumption. Was this a huge mistake?</p>
<p>Maybe not. If you had nothing else to say, any additional information would’ve been redundant and hurt your application.</p>
<p>Is it normal to have only the application downloaded? The other three categories (supplements, payment, and school form) only say completed</p>

<p>Strange, but I don’t view myself as competing against you guys…realistically I am but I see it more as competing against myself, or against the ever present odds (which aren’t in any of our favor). Best of luck to all of you…I truly mean that. I will be happy if I get into Yale and still happy if I end up at my second or third or fourth choice.</p>
