The stats seem pretty straightforward. I’ll volunteer to do it if no one else will.

@CantConcentrate I submitted on the 13th of October, I think.

Submitted my application yesterday as my power was going off courtesy of Sandy. I am already anxious for the reply. Good luck everybody!!

Submitted everything a few days ago. School forms will be sent tomorrow (Sandy prolonged those, I live in CT). So nervous/excited/anxious and kinda want to die. :)

I’m left with my Yale essay (gotta tweak it just a bit more) and then I’m set!! So psyched ahhhhhh!!! btw is the deadline 2359 EST Nov 1?

Watchmesoar, thank you!

Louiespikey, yes.

After turning in my application, I have so far remembered 3 things I forgot to add.

Just submitted everything. I never thought this day would come. I’ve spent so much time on College Confidential throughout high school and reaped so much fantastic information from its pages that it would be a crime not to post my stats and, when the time comes, decision.

just wondering, would it be appropriate to park all our other ECs/awards that we’ve not previously mentioned under the “additional information” section of the commonapp? Does Yale have a history of wanting/not wanting these additional lists? (Eg from what I’ve heard, Stanford strongly discourages such additional resumes)

I used my additional info bit to literally provide additional info useful with regard to m admission.

Like my cross-enrollment at another school, EC patterns, etc.

I’m so close to submitting but I can’t… I keep on rereading my essays and changing a word or two. So nervous!

this might be an extremely dumb question but what does it mean if one “pledges?”

Well, we’re in it together at this point. We have a date, by the way: our decisions will be released on the 14th of December. 43 days!

If one ‘pledges’, s/he must reports his/her decision status (and possibly include stats) for the benefit of prospective students.

Ah! This seems surreal, waiting for so long for this. I’ve spent the last two weeks rigorously rewriting drafts of essays. I think I have my short answer common app where I want it, still need a completely different paragraph in my common app essay, but my Yale essay I think I’m going to change topics completely back to a draft I wrote in the summer. This is crazy!

I thought it was december 15th.

Next I’ll be hearing that they’re released in november (please??).

It’s December 14th.

I used my additional information section to post some explanatory information about one of the honors I listed. It’s about a quarter of a page, tops.

I put my research abstract in the addtl info, as well as one other award I couldn’t fit on the common app.

In my additional information section I included additional test scores that couldn’t fit on the common app form (even though Yale’s supplement had a section for this, I was planning on sending the same common app version out to all of my schools), additional awards, and an activities resume.

Ahhh that feeling after sending in my app when I’m extremely paranoid that I had to have made some stupid error.
