Yale Class of 2019 SCEA Discussion Thread

Really!? That’s cool!!! :slight_smile: Mine still have not shown up in my ACT account. I just checked on Eli and the October one score for me is still not there either. Also, most people I know that got their score, that also took the writing, still don’t have their writing score. Congrats!

BTW SAT is more efficient in sending scores on time. Even though I was supposed to get my SAT 1 result from OCT 11 date on 28th oct, a report having my score was sent by the College board on 26th. This thing is awesome.

Man!!! You are on a roll! :slight_smile: My SAT II scores will not be available to me until 11/25. I do not know how much longer it will take for them to show up at the various colleges. But overall the SAT does seem to be much more on time with reporting the scores.

"The University received more applications from African American and Latino students this year, Quinlan said, making for a more diverse early action applicant pool than in years past. " - Yale Daily News

-_-’

That’s cool!! :slight_smile: I wonder if that’s true for the other ivys as well.

^^Does this mean it will be slightly more difficult for hispanic and african american applicants to get in this year considering there are more qualified applicants from these groups and therefore more internal competition?

That’s what I’m thinking @whattodo122

Lol count me in with the statistic. Nigerian gangsta over here :stuck_out_tongue:

Same! Reppin’ green and white. @emenya

“For instance, for the first time, more Californian students applied early this year than students from New York.”

I’m from California :open_mouth:

Mistakenly had a teacher who was not a true “academic” teacher write a letter of recommendation for me. I was contacted by the admissions office today and they asked me to have my counselor send a new letter. I hope my new teacher writes it as soon as possible. How do you think the office will view this?

What do you mean not a true “academic” teacher?

Hi, I’m also from China. Which city are you in?
I haven’t got my interview notice yet…

Hi, I’m also from China. Which city are you in?
I haven’t got my interview notice yet…

@louisa2019er‌
I’m from the beautiful city of Hangzhou:) What about you?

@ProximaCentauri‌
I’m from Shanghai, the heavily polluted city

@louisa2019er‌ Has anyone of your friends received an interview? I guess Yale hasn’t started interviewing Asians. Some of my friends who applied to UPenn received a call today. I’m from Pakistan btw.

@minastirith: i get that it’s annoying waiting for an interview call but your conclusion that “Yale hasn’t started interviewing Asians.” is simply a head shaker.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

@T26e4, in his defense, I believe that @minastirith is just noting that the handful of applicants who live in Asia and participate in this thread have a shared experience of not yet being contacted for an interview. Actually, @minastirith, @proximacentauri reported being contacted for an interview last week. So hopefully you will hear in the coming days.

@T26E4‌ It was just an assumption. Sorry if that annoyed u.
