Itās my understanding that they used to use it but recently starting using their own form. Rebels. We listed Princeton on CSS, they emailed us to say we indicated we were requesting aid and they havenāt recieved it. It made me think that there is just a standard list but not everyone has the same amount of forms and the forms are labeled differently so who knows.
it means rejected
As much as I would like to think it means something the amount of people that have the verification form on their portals makes the claim that it signals acceptance seem unlikely.
How lol?
last year intl students who had FAFSA request were rejected and those who had verification of income got in. However, some did not have verification of income and got in.
what if you have both?
There is a separate Princeton financial application that you have to fill out in place of the CSS, and will have to upload additional docs to that portal (it is separate from your admissions portal).
check your Princeton financial portal, they may need forms uploaded directly thereā¦
oh Ik but on the CSS profile. It says Princeton is requesting documents. Which they arenāt doing since they arenāt using CSS.
I understand, my oldest son is at Princeton. I would def check your Princeton Financial Portal anyway, and scroll all the way to the bottom after you log in, and you will see āFinancial Aid Application and Needed Documentsā and it will list documents needed/receivedā¦
edit
registering for slate isnt hacking. Itās completely transparent.
No one said it was.
It seems soā¦ I hope we inspired Hannah & Mark to do a special episode on the verification form!
When yāall go on Slate and click on the box for Yale, when was yāalls last updated date? Mine says āupdated 3/06/23ā for Yale. Just wanna see if everyoneās update time is the same and if Slate just displays the same info for everyone
Same
I have no idea sorry
I think it updates when we look at itā¦ā¦
I see. Also, did you apply to Duke? Duke requested me this household verification thing in IDOC, and a day later Yale got it. Ever since then, I have had the longer version of the household verification thingie. Do you think Yale added it to my checklist because it randomly got to their hands?
