With all the talk about SCEA coming out so soon there has been barely anything mentioned about RD applicants, which is understandable. I was just wondering if anybody knows, if you are to get requested for an interview what is the time frame they start requesting RD interviews?

Regular decision interview reports are due on February 15. Now that early action interviews are over, I’d expect students who already turned in their regular decision applications to start getting offers to interview in many ASC territories.

@AdmissionsAddict So anytime now I can potentially receive an email requesting an interview is what you’re saying? (I live on long island).

Every ASC territory operates differently, but if you have submitted your application, yes, you could potentially receive an email offering you an interview at any time. By the way, I think of it as an offer to interview, which you can accept or decline, as opposed to request, which seems to indicate special interest in you.

My local ASC rec’d RD applicants’ names on Dec 08 and this first batch got parceled out. The big wave will come after Jan 01 to be sure.

I was just assigned my first RD interview today.

@T26E4 @Tperry1982 Thanks for the info, To my understanding they try to interview everyone given there are alumni available in their area. Hopefully I’m fortunate enough to have an interview (I live on Long Island).

My D has had her RD app in for a week and has not even received an email from Yale saying they have it. (Hold up due to SCEA?) Hopefully that comes soon and she can possibly get an interview.

@jomama2g It took me 2 and 1/2 weeks to get my email from yale. Hoping to hear about an interview soon.

Thanks @Shabuwa! I will tell her that. Hope you get an interview and good luck!
