Subjective:

* Essays: Both unusual writing style, one sort of bitter but moving on ballet, one quirky on a train ride to school
* Teacher Recs: One great, one I have no idea
* Counselor Rec: Probably good, but I'm not sure how good. She has hundreds of students, but she knows me more personally.
* Hook (if any): BALLET, lots, and lots, and lots, at a very high level. Most people at the level I used to perform don't go to college and go to companies, so I suppose that in college applicant pool's talent in this area is usually fairly low. Also, it's rare for ballet kids to be good in academics, since most serious students don't go to school (yes, even at age 15) at all. I took half days of school junior and senior year to combat that problem.

General Comments:
Congratulations to everyone who got in! Good luck to those who got deferred, and I'm sure those of you who got rejected, it was Yale's screwup. You'll all do great; little things like this barely matter in the grand scheme of things.
