Yale Eli Whitney Students 2018

Greetings,
I met w/ Debra Johns and was informed at the conclusion of our discussion that we would be informed of Yale’s decision on, or around the 14th of May.

I was also informed that they would accept between five to ten students into the EWSP and that if you were fortunate enough to have been considered for an interview, you were considered to be within a competitive group of twenty-eight applicants.

That was on May 1st.

In the new moons (thirteen days) that have since past, I have gained 40lbs, my hair and teeth have fallen out, and I’ve picked up an oppressively expensive smoking habit.

How are the rest of you holding up?

Do has anyone heard anything formal since the 20th of April?

Am I the only person in here? What’s the deal?

Seems like some people heard the 14th and some the 18th… judging from the fact that it’s the 15th and we haven’t heard, I’m guessing it’ll be the 18th haha.

I agree. I guess we will figure out on 18th.

@StreetLights378 You are definitely not alone on the high anxiety kick. Life is at a pause and nothing seems to matter, except the response! Trying to patiently wait…

Results are in. I got in!

Accepted

Accepted as well

Same! Did they just accept everyone this year? I wonder how big our class will be lol.

Let’s make a Facebook chat

Is everyone going to accept admission? What other colleges were you accepted/ rejected to?

Accepted: Wellesley, Smith, and Yale
Rejected: Cornell, Dartmouth, William and Mary, and Amherst
Waitlisted: Swarthmore
Waiting to hear: Georgetown

My first choice was Yale!

accepted!

Accepted! I spoke with someone familiar with the admissions outcomes earlier, looks like 13 got accepted.

Hey everyone! I know this is late obviously, I am new to College Confidential. I am in the U.S Coast Guard on active duty. I seen a lot of my military peers didn’t get accepted this year, as well as I seen a few of you made it! For those of you who didn’t make it, military or not, do you think you will apply in 2019? And for those accepted this year, I imagine classes have started by now! How do you fit in on campus?

I didn’t get accepted, but I realize now (wish I would have then) that I simply didn’t have enough recent coursework, I had ALL math classes but they don’t want to see you excel in only one area since this doesn’t tell them if you’d be successful at their college. I’m not applying in 2019 but will in 2020.

I would like to get in touch with you and explain a few things to me about the admission process of Eli Whitney program. - @zoonbhrogers

@Lalabunny I don’t have enough posts to PM you, but I was wondering if you could message me your stats? I am considering applying to Eli Whitney in 2020. Thanks!!

@zoonbhrogers @mythical @Lalabunny @xylo1220 @Loftboy4U I applied to Eli Whitney for Fall 2019 entry and have an on-campus interview this week. Can you all please advise on what kind of questions they asked or any other tips? Thanks in advance!
