You can only choose either Eli Whitney or transfer program, not both at the same time. Interview is mandatory for Eli Whitney students, but not necessarily for transfer students, that is my understanding… @Lalabunny did you apply as a transfer, or as Eli Whitney?
I feel the time is about right they start to send out interview notices around now for the Eli Whitneys, though.
I got an email today for an interview.
Congratulations! It’s getting more and more exciting!
@realcheese I applied as a EWS
Congrats for the interview offers!!! I wonder if interview are historically distributed in one day only, or if there’s any chance of more offers coming…does anyone know?
@Loftboy4U thank you and congratulations!
@PhillipPullman I’m wondering the same thing. I do know that there are multiple rounds of interviews, I think each week for the next four weeks. But what I wonder is how do they decide the order in which to contact people for interviews?
From the email they sent out after your application was received:
“The Admissions Office will be contacting a small number of applicants for interviews, and interview assignments will occur on a rolling basis over the next 4 weeks. Interviews will take place at the end of April or early May. All applicants will be notified of their admissions decisions by May 25.”
I’m so truly happy for those who have already got their interview invitations. Hope more will come out soon.
It’d be great if we all meet in person this fall! >:D<
Good luck to those interviewing so far!
Meanwhile… I just played Offenbach’s Baracarolle from The Tales of Hoffmann on my violin, how enchanting and beautiful.
Got an interview invite last week and replied back pretty quickly, but haven’t heard anything since. Has anyone scheduled already? Should I send a follow up? Getting anxious to make travel plans!
@xylo1220 I haven’t received a reply either. I’m sure they are just very busy.
I think another round of interview invitations will go out tomorrow. I hope I’m one of the ones who gets picked!
So far I haven’t heard anything.
Same here. I think in a few days if still nothing I’m going to take the safety school. I can’t resist their housing and tuition offer, if I’m not going to Yale it’s not a bad place to go. My current school is awesome in terms of the education itself, but it’s so darn expensive. Ugh.
@Loftboy4U will you post here when you get an email back? I am so anxious to book plane tickets and actually have it in my calendar already!
How do you know when do interviews go out?
Why are you guys stressing out so much about interviews? It explicitly states on their website that not everyone gets interviews and that many get admitted without an interview…
Absolutely not. Maybe that’s true for regular admissions, but not for Eli Whitney applicants.
