Okay so Yale Financial Aid deemed that I needed additional documentation of my parents’ taxes to receive my offer, so I faxed it to them yesterday afternoon (Sunday). I know I shouldn’t expect my offer soon, but does anyone know when I will receive a response from them? What’s the typical wait and will they email me or just upload it to the portal? If anyone’s had experience with this it would be great!
^^ This is a busy time of the year for the financial aid folks, but as you need to make a decision by the end of April, they should definitely get back to you within a week or two. First, I would call them tomorrow to make sure they received the FAX. Then, give them a week or so to get back to you. When you call them, remember to ask how you will be notified – email or portal.
I also sent in additional financial aid documents but they have not been marked as ‘received’ within the portal. @misspresident please let me know once you hear back from the finaid office.
@winterkomt I did receive an email yesterday and they said since this is such a busy time, they expect to give me my new offer sometime next week. (So I’d assume the same for you). And they marked mine as received after responding to my email, so I think they’re not too concerned with updating the statuses of the documents, but they have received them so thats good.
And thanks so much to @gibby !!!
